Kharkiv - is the biggest city in East Ukraine. Second after Kiev by number of universities. One of the rich city of Ukraine after Kiev and Odessa.

 

The Old Center

Constitution Square and Museum

Heart of Kharkov. Here is the Assumption Cathedral, Constitution Square, Historical Museum, department, Pavlov area (former Rosa Luxemburg), City Hall. Here the main strits Sumskaya and Pushkinskaya started.

The Shevchenko Park

If you go Sumskaya you will pass Shevchenko Park. Here are located HATOB, Mirror Stream, Shevchenko Monument, Cascade, Dolphinarium

Monument to Taras Shevchenko

Shevchenko monument is the world’s most beautiful monument to the great poet and writer Taras Shevchenko.

Freedom Square and the monument to Taras Shevchenko - places of cultural and political life in Kharkov. There are often different fairs, exhibitions, etc.

 

 

The New Center

Going further you go in Sumy on Freedom Square. Here begins the new center.

It was built in the first half of the 20th century.

Here to Freedom Square, Derzhprom National University. Karazina, Medical University and the Regional Council.

On the square are part of different events and trade fairs.

 

The Gorky Park

Modern thame park. Here you can also rent a bicycle, roller skates or skateboards. Every weekend there are different celebrations takes place.

Subway

Kharkiv subway called "Metro" is a bit worse then Moskov and better then in Kiev. Spacious and beautiful stations, each different from each other.
